Zach and Cam were our guides last week and they were very knowledgeable and kind. We rode around in the beautiful countryside and vineyards. My horse, Calvin was so sweet and gentle and I felt very safe riding him! Thank you for a wonderful morning with all of you. We had a lot of fun!

This was the best trail ride I have had other than on my own horses. Gina and David are excellent wranglers and took great care in matching horses and riders based on experience. In fact, they first put me on a very gentle mare, Abby, but then because of my riding experience, switched me to a more challenging gelding, Ryder, in order to give a young woman who was very nervous this gentle mare. Because of this switch, we both enjoyed a better ride. These horses are very well cared for and they know their jobs. The terrain is very rocky and all the horses very sure-footed. Every horse took care of their rider. Gina and David put safety first. They also made sure everyone got some great pictures. I highly recommend this trail ride to riders of all experience levels

I have nothing negative to say. Lots of rescue horses that have a job and lots of hay. We had a great ride and climbed up the mountains. Wow what a wonderful experience. They also trail horses to and from warm to cooler states between seasons to give them a break. Every horse seemed happy and well fed. I prioritize that over anything else!

My sister and I had a top notch experience! From our very warm welcome from Boot the corgi ensuring we were greeted mid driveway, to extending friendly greetings and pets at each door. He guided us to the front desk as any cowboy would. Matt the wrangler was the best along with his trusty steed, One Eyed Jack! He was friendly, informative, and had the best stories. Also does excellent in his side hustle as a tour photographer! Last but not least, Carl and Indy were the absolute best horses!

What an excellent riding experience! David was my wrangler and shared a wide range of information. I rode BART who was very responsive and sure-footed. I will definitely book another private ride the next time I’m in Sedona.

I recently had the pleasure of going on a private trail ride with Cowboy Houston, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I arrived, Houston’s professionalism shone through. He took the time to ensure that I was comfortable with the horse I’d be riding and provided a thorough overview of safety protocols and riding tips. What truly set this ride apart was Houston's infectious enthusiasm and passion for horseback riding. He shared interesting stories about the trails and the local wildlife, making the ride not just an adventure but an educational experience as well. His laid-back and friendly demeanor made it easy to relax and enjoy the scenery around us.The trail itself was stunning, with breathtaking views and a sense of peace that only nature can provide. Houston was always attentive, checking in with me throughout the ride to make sure I was having a great time!Overall, my trail ride with Houston was a perfect blend of professionalism, fun, and adventure. I left with not only wonderful memories but also a newfound appreciation for horseback riding. If you’re looking for an outstanding experience, I highly recommend booking a ride with him. You’ll be in great hands and will likely leave with a smile that lasts long after the ride is over!

Absolutely unreal! Took the 4 hour premier ride with David on "Ryder". Trekked up to the very top of House Mountain for the most incredible 360 view I've ever experienced. The incline was intense at times but Ryder handled it like a champ and didn't spook once even on loose rocks. David was so accommodating, stopping for photos whenever I asked and toting cold water and snacks for our break on the summit. He was also super knowledgeable about the region and also the terrain and complex geology! I finished the ride having had a truly humbling experience and wishing I could somehow smuggle Ryder home on the the plane :). Thank you so much to David, the amazing horses and the entire staff at the ranch.Side note: even the booking experience was so positive with Christa who did not balk at my strange texting hours and answered all my questions in the couple weeks leading up to my ride.

Our guides Cora and Anna were the best and the ride was gorgeous. The terrain those horses handle with ease is amazing! Our horses were Tango, Tony, and Dalton who treated us so well. So worth doing!! Highly recommend.

What a great time! We booked the premiere sunset ride so it was just my fiancé and I with the guide Anna. It was a little overcast but that worked in our favor because it wasn’t as hot out for mid July, and the views were still fantastic! I hadn’t been riding in a decade and Anna picked a horse with a temperament that was perfect for me (and could support my weight at my request, although they don’t have any weight limits as long as you can saddle up unassisted from the loading station). Just let them know at booking if you have any special needs or requests and they will take care of you. Anna was a pleasure to talk to throughout the ride and I felt very comfortable and at ease. The trail is rougher than I expected, rocky and steep, but you can tell the horses know it well. My only regret is not coming to the area earlier in the day as there are 5-6 wineries to explore and unfortunately they all close very early in the evening. We will definitely be back!

This was a wonderful adventure. The location is down a long gravel hilly road. Matt and David were great hosts as we went on a 90 min group tour through the dessert. We had 9 people in our group and the horses were gentle and knew to follow in line. The guides had interesting information about the local area which we enjoyed learning. We loved the horses and got to feed them apples.

My husband and I had an incredible horseback riding experience yesterday, thanks to our wonderful guide, David. His professionalism and extensive knowledge made us feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire ride. We were paired with two beautiful and well-behaved horses, Pancake and Jeff, who made our adventure even more special. Both horses were gentle and easy to ride, ensuring a safe and memorable experience. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing way to enjoy nature on horseback!

Amazing experience! Great ride through incredible scenery on super friendly horses. Our wrangler Anna was amazing and possibly altered the career aspirations of our 9 year old daughter! A must do if you’re in the Sedona area.

A great experience and guides. We very much enjoyed trail ride experiences at Horsin’ Around Adventures. We did the 5:00 ride and highly recommend it. The horse team are very shore footed and goes to say they’ve done the trail ride a time or two, so this is great for your first ride or beginners. The guide staff were helpful and kind. About a 40 minute drive from Sedona and worth it for the scenery and peace of a great horseback trail ride.

I went with best friend for my 18th birthday and it was our first time riding. We booked the public ride but it ended up being just us two (it was beginning of september and around 4pm)The experience was absolutely incredible and more than what we expected. Our guide was Matt and he was very friendly, patient and helpful. Our two horses were Jesse and Blue, so cute. The pictures are free, and taken on your personal phone which was very cool and very convenient. Trail wasn’t very scary or rough. I highly recommend this place especially if you’re looking for something that’s peaceful but also on the wild side :)

Great experience and they made a point of getting everyone's picture toward the end so we had a nice picture of our group. All the horses were great with novice riders. The trail was steep in places which is challenging for both the horse and rider, but that's what you'll get anywhere in the area. The leaders were knowledgeable and helpful and provided saddle bags so we could bring water, phones etc. (which I wasn't able to bring on rides with other groups). Highly recommend Horsin' Around!

Beautiful views, very well trained horses, a fun adventure. My horse, Jess, took excellent care of me on the ride. Matt was a terrific guide- shared his experiences as a trail master and his knowledge about the area, vegetation & land. Highly recommend this adventure to all visiting the Sedona area!

We went for a ride for our honeymoon and it was absolutely amazing! I'd never ridden before but our guide, Matt, was so patient and helpful. He cracked jokes to make me feel at ease and gave us wonderful history and notes along the way. It was SO FUN and the horses looked so well taken care of. Note that the ranch is a ways up and down a gravel road and you'll need good tires to feel comfortable. Paying cash gets you a steep discount, and don't forget to tip! Unforgettable experience!

My husband and I visited Sedona for my 50th birthday. We reserved a horseback ride with Horsin’ Around Adventures. Our ride was amazing!! The entire process was professional and inviting. Matt was one of our guides, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed his hospitality, as we rode directly behind him. The horses were beautiful and agile… I miss Tango (horse that I rode). A birthday treat for sure!!

My friend and I were visiting Arizona and this was a perfect way to end the trip! David was knowledgeable and took time at the beginning to go over basics. His horses were all well behaved and we left safe the entire ride. Thanks, David!

So happy we booked a private tour here, it was such a great experience! Thought I might be bored (have been bored in past horseback riding tours in MN where I’m from) but going up and down the mountain kept it exciting! Matt was our wrangler and was just the coolest guy ever. Super knowledgeable and friendly and you could tell he loves what he does. Booking the private tour was worth it, thanks so much for a fun evening!

What an amazing trail ride. David was the most perfect guide and was very intellectual and informative about the surroundings. I rode on Indy. I am a pretty experienced horse person. I have a ranch in Idaho. Amazing views and conversation. The guide was very attentive. His name was David. What a perfect gentleman. I would recommend this to anyone visiting in Sedona area of Arizona. The horses were all so loving. They let me kiss all over them. The sweet little kitties around the ranch also were very cute and sweet. The mule and the goats were also adorable and let me scratch and love on them. What an amazing experience. Would highly recommend.😇💕
